As a representational artist working mainly in pastel, I create art that captures moments in time.
I’m drawn to the complexity of nature and enjoy finding beauty in the everyday.
A strong advocate for pastel art in Australia, I’m co-founder of the Sydney Pastel Artists, a collective that aims to promote the vibrancy of the medium.
My creative process involves collecting my own reference material, freehand sketching my subject onto a pastel surface, and using soft pastel and pastel pencils to build up layers. I’ve surrendered to my passion for detail, and my artwork can take many hours to complete.

I did advanced Art in High School, and gained a Bachelor of Arts at Macquarie University. I studied Visual Art at Meadowbank TAFE, completed a Freelance Illustration Course through the Australia College of Journalism, and took weekly lessons with pastel artist Dierdre Dixon (Parramatta Art Society). I’ve also completed workshops with Liz Haywood Sullivan, Richard McKinley, Ian Roberts and Lyn Diefenbach.
I enjoy facilitating a mentorship group with Master Pastelists Julie and Michael Freeman through the Mastrius Mentorship Community.
